NSW residents will be allowed to visit other households in groups of two from Friday, in the state’s first relaxation of social distancing restrictions.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced that from Friday, groups of two adults — and their children if they have any — will be able to visit other households for social gatherings.
While the Premier acknowledges that there is an “inherent risk” to easing restrictions she is “confident that people will be responsible”.
“Don’t take risks” warned Ms Berejiklian, “we don’t want to see the numbers suddenly spike up because people are being irresponsible.
“If you have the mildest sniffle, do not go and visit anybody [or] if you’re feeling slightly unwell or fatigued, don’t risk it.”
