The beloved Australian actress, 58, shared her delight in ticking off the seventh continent she has visited, posting a number of photos on her social media.
The images show the Hollywood star spending time on the ice alongside her daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15. In one Instagram post the three can be seen holding up a banner that celebrates their ‘seventh continent’ achievement.
Clearly delighting in the region’s dramatic landscapes and local fauna, she shared a cute photo of penguin parents snuggling with their chicks and a video that shows the sheer scale of the ice-covered cliffs viewed from the water.
Another shows the view from within a kayak on the frigid water, showing she embraced all the opportunities the Antarctic getaway had to offer. There appeared to be some downtime however, as a contemplative Kidman is also seen relaxing in a a book-lined cabin on board the luxury ship.
Kidman’s sister Antonia was also with the group on the Silversea cruise, along with another woman Kidman identified in a photo as ‘my bestie.’
Kidman appeared to be putting a challenging year behind her with a complete change of scenery. The world was shocked when her split from husband Keith Urban, 58, was revealed in September, with the two swiftly finalising their divorce earlier this month.
While she kicked off the year spending quality time with her daughters in Antarctica and Australia, the Oscar-winner has a busy work schedule lined up in 2026.
She stars alongside Jamie Lee Curtis in new TV series Scarpetta, taking on the role of forensic pathologist Dr. Kay Scarpetta in the crime thriller based on Patricia Cornwell’s bestselling novels. The show launches on Amazon Prime on March 11.Â
On Apple, Margo’s Got Money Troubles is a comedic family drama with an ensemble cast that includes Kidman alongside Elle Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer, the TV series hitting screens on April 15.
The playful energy of hit film Practical Magic also returns to the big screen this year for a sequel, in which Kidman reprises her role alongside Sandra Bullock as witchy sisters Gillian and Sally Owens.
