New Zealand’s Best Ski Hotel Named

The Rees Hotel Queenstown has been crowned Best New Zealand Ski Hotel 2017 at the World Ski Awards in Kitzbühe, Austria. Competing against six other premium New Zealand resorts, The Rees took the top prize for the second time.

Located close to four of Queenstown’s best ski fields – Coronet Peak, Treble Cone, The Remarkables and Cardrona – The Rees provides the perfect opportunity for skiiers of all experiences. The resort provides a complimentary ski concierge service and offers various heli ski experiences. Private and group lessons are available and on-site ski lockers enable security for all skiers.

The Rees’ multi-award winning restaurant True South Dining and award-winning Bordeau Wine Lounge provide fine food and drink, and guests can relax post-ski with one of the resort’s many luxury spa treatments.

“This prestigious award means a great deal to The Rees and our staff”, says Mark Rose, General Manager of The Rees. “It reflects and rewards the hard work we put in daily to ensure our guests have the best stay possible, with memories to last a lifetime.”

“We strive to consistently exceed guests’ expectations in all aspects of our hotel, from our ski concierge service to accommodation and fine dining. We are honoured to receive such an accolade for the second year running”.

The World Ski Awards are the only global initiative celebrating excellence in ski tourism. Established five years ago, the awards are based on votes by travel professionals and members of the public.
