New Zealand’s leading brand in sustainability, ecostore, has launched a new oral care range: toothpaste, toothbrushes and mouthwash. It’s the sort of stuff you could eat, made from naturally derived ingredients and free from SLS, triclosan, and parabens.

Whether your mouth is looking for a makeover, or maybe your bathroom is, ecostore has got you covered.

Their new range of toothpaste, toothbrushes and mouthwash is now out, making pearly whites and bathroom countertops all over New Zealand look brand-new.

Kicking off the range is their toothpaste ($4.99), packaged in an intentionally designed tube that is able to be recycled. The magical paste is naturally derived from functional ingredients: magnolia bark extract and kanuka oil to reduce plaque, prevent tartar buildup and protect gums and natural essential oils for a long-lasting mouth freshness. If protecting your gums, fighting cavities and freshening your breath are among your top teeth priorities, you may have met your match. The toothpaste comes in 3 variants: Complete Care, Whitening and Propolis – so it’s fair to say there’s something for everyone. It’s also free of any nasties, including fluoride, parabens, SLS, triclosan, preservatives, artificial colours and flavours, aspartame and sodium saccharin.

Another trailblazer of the range is their mouthwash ($7.99), the only natural mouthwash of its kind available in supermarkets. The natural elixir promotes long-lasting freshness, so you no longer have to stress when someone enters your personal bubble. It too is naturally derived functional ingredients: magnolia bark extract and kanuka oil, and also contains no alcohol, fluoride, parabens, SLS, triclosan, artificial colours and flavours, aspartame, and sodium saccharin. It is also 100% recyclable and like their other oral care products, you can send it back to ecostore, through downloading a postage label from their website to make postage a dream, and they will do all the hard work for you.

Gone are the days of all toothbrushes ending their lives in landfills. Ecostore’s toothbrush ($4.99), made from plants, provides an alternative to this grim cycle. It’s got all the mod-cons – multi-height bristles for cleaning performance and a selection of soft and medium bristles. Like their other stars, it too can be sent back to ecostore and recycled, the plastic from the toothbrush will be re-used in another product, allowing ecostore to minimise its use of virgin materials and closing the loop on the toothbrushes lifecycle. It has no BPA, PVC or Phthalates (nasty chemicals found in the production of petrochemical plastic), which is quite a big win for both the environment and your teeth.
