Naomi Watts has been announced as the latest ambassador for Sportscraft, and will launch the brand’s autumn/winter campaign (which from the images includes chunky knits and luxe cashmere).
Sportscraft celebrated its centennial anniversary in 2014, enlisting a group of iconic Australians to represent the brand, including actress Rachel Griffiths and media personality Ita Buttrose.
The appointment of the award nominated Watts, who is a mother of two sons and has four movies coming out this year, made sense to the actress.
“Sportscraft represents all the things that are a part of me: a working woman, a mother, someone who wants to look classic and well put together” she said.
Indeed the actress described the collection to a Sunday supplement on the weekend as “very me.”
Sportscraft tends to agree,
“We’re proud to have Naomi as our new ambassador. She is a celebrated Australian whose timeless style and sophistication perfectly embodies the Sportscraft brand,” said Adrian Jones CEO of APG & Co, which owns Sportscraft as well as Saba, jAG and Willow.
The coming season for Sportscraft is all about pieces that will both go with everything in your wardrobe. Expect interesting textures, classic shapes, relaxed shirting and easy separates.
Watts has just come off a successful run of films, including the Oscar winning Birdman (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) and St. Vincent with Bill Murray.
