New Zealand makeup artist Rebekah Banks – a MiNDFOOD STYLE contributor – has been selected as one of five Australasian artists competing for the world’s first-ever international makeup designer contest.
The Brush Contest was launched this year by L’Oreal Paris, and required entrants to upload a three minute makeup tutorial video to The Brush Contest website, which were then voted on by the public. Banks created a pixellated eye make-up look, which can still be viewed here.
The winner for this region will be announced on 10th April, with the winner travelling to Cannes to compete against 13 other finalists from around the world in a grand final hosted by Eva Longoria.
The overall winner receives a one-year contract with L’Oreal Paris valued at 100,000 Euros, and will join the behind-the-scenes team at the Cannes International Film Festival.
MiNDFOOD STYLE loved working with Banks on shoots for the first issue of MiNDFOOD STYLE, and wish her much luck for the rest of the contest.
