Michelle Obama turned heads last night at the final stop of her tour for her memoir, Becoming. The former first lady gave Sarah Jessica Parker – aka Carrie Bradshaw – who was moderating the event, a run for her sartorial money in glittery thigh-high boots and a vibrant yellow dress.
The gorgeous yellow gown was from the luxury Spanish fashion house Balenciaga’s spring/summer 2019. As jaw-dropping as the silk gown was, it was Obama’s footwear choice that really stole the show. As Obama took to the stage to greet Parker, a bold slit up the front of the gown revealed a pair of head-turning glittery gold Balmain boots.
Obama’s recent book tour has seen her have a lot of fun with her fashion tour with her stylist Meredith Koop dressing her in some fashion-forward numbers. Last week she made an appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show in a bedazzled Balmain resort suit.
