Merry Christmas from Archie and his Mum and Dad

Merry Christmas from Archie and his Mum and Dad
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have released their annual Christmas card. Although this year, there is no paper in sight!

An electronic card was sent to their well-wishers, in line with the couple’s philosophy on the environment.

“Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from our family to yours,” their message reads.

The card features a black and white image of the royal couple in front of their Christmas tree with baby Archie taking centre stage crawling up to the camera. The image was taken by actress and photographer Janina Gavankar, who is friends with the Duchess.

It was recently revealed from royal palace officials that the family was spending their Christmas break in Canada, rather than joining the queen and other royal family members at the annual stay at Sandringham. Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, is reportedly joining them for the holidays as well.

“As has been reported, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are spending private family time in Canada,” read the press statement. “The decision to base themselves in Canada reflects the importance of this Commonwealth country to them both. They are enjoying sharing the warmth of the Canadian people and the beauty of the landscape with their young son.”
