Meghan Markle wears Givenchy Haute Couture

Meghan Markle wears Givenchy Haute Couture
Meghan Markle emerged on the steps of St George's Chapel in Givenchy Haute Couture for her royal wedding to Prince Harry.

Meghan Markle  arrived at Windsor Castle in an understated, elegant Givenchy Haute Couture gown designed by British designer Clare Waight Keller. Last year Waight Keller became the first female artistic director for the French fashion house.

Givenchy only became a rumoured contender for Markle’s wedding dress in the hours leading up to the big event. British-Australian label Ralph & Russo was the frontrunner, while Alexander McQueen and Erdem were also strong contenders.

As expected Markle stuck to her signature pared-back beauty look for her big day – a subtle smokey eye, defined brows and a soft blush lip colour. It was Markle’s “something borrowed” – the Queen Mary diamond bandeau tiara, on loan from Queen Elizabeth – that did all the talking.
