The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle again in Givenchy – the fashion designer who dressed her for her wedding ceremony and first solo engagements with the Queen last week – stuns crowds, this time at the Royal Ascot, Berkshire.
It’s the first time Markle has attended the annual week of horse races at Britain’s best-known racecourses. The event was first staged in 1768.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were pictured smiling as they arrived in a horse-drawn carriage alongside the Count and Countess of Wessex, reports The Sun. Even with Kate Middleton out of the picture, the Royal Ascot 2018 wasn’t short on duchesses. All eyes were on the newlyweds who celebrate their one-month anniversary.
According to royal reporters, the Duchess was once again in Givenchy, pairing the cream-colored dress with a Philip Treacy fascinator.
The Queen, a longtime horse lover, attends the special event, and so do other members of the royal family. Usually, Prince William and Kate Middleton also attend, though it’s unclear whether the new mom of three will be present since she’s on maternity leave.
Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall were also spotted arriving at Royal Ascot with Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice travelling in another carriage, after.
The Duke and Dutchess of Sussex’s appearance at the eagerly anticipated race event came hours after Kensington Palace announced that their first official foreign trip as a couple would be to Dublin, in July.
