Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated female empowerment at a reception marking the launch of a ‘Platform for Girls Education’ campaign. The campaign encourages Commonwealth countries to provide 12 years of quality education for girls.
The couple were greeted by the Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson and his wife Marina Wheeler, who were hosting the event. They spoke to representatives from various organisations including Malala Fund, Code Camp and Plan International. These organisations support young girls across the Commonwealth by providing them with necessary education.
It was a busy day for the royal couple, after they stepped out at the Commonwealth Youth Forum prior to the launch event.
