MECCA Maxima to open in the capital city

It’s been a good week for beauty enthusiasts – Benefit Cosmetics announced it will open a stand-alone boutique  in Auckland in March – and it’s about to get better.

It may have only been a few months since MECCA Maxima opened its doors in Christchurch, but the home of some of the world’s most covetable beauty brands is coming to Wellington. The beauty bazaar is rumoured to be opening in April – watch this space for more details – and will bring sought-after beauty brands including Too Faced, Urban Decay, Drunk Elephant, Mario Badescu and Josie Maran Cosmetics to Wellingtonians.



Lady Gaga to front new Tiffany & Co. campaign

Musical icon and fashionista Lady Gaga is the new face of legendary luxury jewellery brand Tiffany & Co.’s new Legendary Style campaign.  The campaign for the new fashion jewellery collection, Tiffany HardWear, will debut in a 60-second film which will air during the Super Bowl this weekend. Gaga is set to perform at the Super Bowl’s high anticipated half time show.


“In New York, you’re born knowing that Tiffany is the best, and that it is where the magic happens. The brand is definitive and iconic, yet continues to push and evolve with the times,” said Lady Gaga. “To me, Tiffany represents timeless American jewellery.”Inspired by a unisex bracelet from 1971 in the Tiffany Archives, Tiffany HardWear builds on this design to include earrings, rings, necklaces and pendants.

The campaign was directed by Tiffany’s in-house team in partnership with Grace Coddington, and shot by David Sims. . The Tiffany HardWear Collection will be available  in-store worldwide on April 28.
