Louis Vuitton opens new mountain resort store in Queenstown

The doors to Louis Vuitton’s very first Queenstown store may have swung open back in 1997 but today marks a new era for the maison’s New Zealand journey. Located in the recently developed Skyline building on the corner of Marine Parade and Church Street, the captivating lake-front spot brings to life Louis Vuitton’s passion for the art of travel with a distinctly Kiwi twist.

Perched on the edge of lake Wakatipu, the inviting space has been designed with remarkable materials imbued with the South Island and wider New Zealand landscape and culture. Alongside a covetable offering of Louis Vuitton’s new collections of leather goods and accessories, lifestyle products and luggage, clients will be invited to discover the store’s bespoke decor including a custom-made Kauri table which is dated to approximately 40,000BC. Guests who want to make the most of the uninterrupted views of the lake, can cosy up in the store’s sheepskin lounge in front of the suspended fireplace.

To celebrate the store’s opening a very lucky limited number of clients will be able to get their hands on Aller hard-sided Monogram luggage embellished with a handpainted New Zealand Tui.

Louis Vuitton Queenstown is open now at 9-11 Marine Parade.
