MCA Sculpture Terrace
A wonderful night of free live music and delicious craft beer.

This year the Sounds on the Terrace series will be home to a new partnership, the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA) and a new partner Newtown-based brewers Young Henrys. Together they will be curating the Museum’s annual Sounds on the Terrace series which will see them combining delicious craft beer with free live music on the MCA’s Sculpture Terrace where guest will be treated to views of Sydney Harbour.  The series kicks off on Wednesday 1 November, with Matilda Abraham’s dreamy electronica and the the sonic soundscapes and ethereal vocals of E for Echo. The series will continue with three more special evenings held on Wednesdays 6 December, 10 January and 7 February.

Since the Museum reopened in 2012 Sounds on the Terrace has presented its live music sessions and after-work drinks during the summer months which coincide with the Wednesday night ‘Lights on Later’ program where the galleries stay open until 9pm. Sounds on the Terrace invites live music enthusiasts and art lovers to enjoy balmy evenings taking in the breathtaking from the Sculpture Terrace while enjoying the tasty new menu from the MCA Cafe, run by Fresh Catering.

When: Held on the first Wednesday of each month from November – February. 6:30-8:30pm.
