In the aftermath of Paris, Beirut and Baghdad, the world is still reeling from an unimaginable sadness.
But in the midst of darkness, there is always a light to be found. One man, upon learning of the horrific attacks set upon that path to provide a light, if only for a short while, to the people of Paris.
Pianist Davide Martello, 34, decided to use his wondrous talent to make people smile and help communites come together with a beautiful rendition of John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ outside the Bataclan theatre.

Upon hearing about the harrowing events in Paris, the musician grabbed his piano and transported it 400-miles to Paris. “I phoned my friend to talk about it, got in the car and drove all through the night,” he told The Guardian.
“I just knew I had to do something.”
“I wanted to be there to try to comfort, and offer a sign of hope.”
