It could be a happy ending for a tiny baby girl found abandoned in the dirt by a man on his way to work.
The man, Raul Marin Ceja, is reportedly hoping to adopt the child, who he has described as “a gift from God.”
Mr Ceja was alerted to a white bundle by the baby’s cries. Upon closer inspection he realised there was a little girl curled up in the dirty sheet. Mr Ceja filmed the moment he discovered the infant who still had part of the umbilical cord attached, in the state of Jalisco, Mexico.
The baby girl is expected to make a full recovery thanks to Mr Ceja’s quick thinking. After his surprising discovery he contacted who transported her to the Zapopan General Hospital.
The mother of the rescued child has not been found, but Mr Ceja has reportedly expressed that he’d like to adopt her.
