Making Strudel in Austria
Classic and mouth-watering, Apple Strudel is one of Austria's favourite and most popular pastry desserts.

The Edelweiss Cooking School is the place for learning how to make authentic Austrian apple strudel. The classes are only €35 and, with a maximum of 15 students per session, you’ll receive sufficient individual instruction in all stages of preparation, in particular, the tricky stretching out of the pastry.


Desserts in Salzburg are taken very seriously, says owner and main baker Johann Bauer. “We have all different types of nationalities wanting to learn how to make strudel. They all leave taking away a little bit of Salzburg and a skill they can make at home.”
