M.A.C Celebrates Halloween

Halloween’s just around the corner, and to celebrate M.A.C has created six spooky looks that are bound to give Halloween queen, Heidi Klum, a run for her money. Online tutorials, featuring M.A.C artists recreating the looks on themselves, can be viewed by clicking on each look: Ice Queen, Day of the Dead, Zombie, Black Cat, Egyptian Goddess, and Pop Icon.

All Auckland-based mortals have also been invited to attend an in-store demonstration and showcase of M.A.C’s halloween looks. M.A.C Pro Britomart will host an evening of haunting Halloween artistry on the 29th of October from 5.00pm.

Tommy Hilfiger Introduces In-Store VR Headsets

Move over hardcore gamers – if Tommy Hilfiger’s move is anything to go by, fashionistas will be embracing virtual reality tech soon enough. The iconic American designer has become the first first fashion designer to introduce virtual reality headsets into stores.

Thanks to the Samsung GearVR Headset, visitors to Tommy Hilfiger boutiques will be transported to front-row seat at the designers Fall/Winter 2015 fashion show. “Through virtual reality, we’re now able to bring our one-of-a-kind fashion show to the retail setting,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “From the incredible set and music to exclusive backstage moments, consumers will be able to watch the clothes move and see the collection in the original show environment – it’s a compelling and interesting elevation of the traditional shopping experience.”

The Tommy Hilfiger VR experience will be available in the following boutiques: London, Amsterdam, Dusseldorf, Milan, Florence, Zurich, Paris and Moscow. The concept will also launch in Selfridges, London’s iconic department store.
