Swiss luxury watchmaker TAG Heuer has opened its first boutique in Aotearoa New Zealand.
The just-opened new store in Auckland’s CBD luxury strip has been developed in partnership with Partridge Jewellers.
With a long history on Queen Street and as a key retail partner for the respected watch brand since the 80s, Partridge Jewellers makes sense to pave the way for establishing the new arrival. The new space allows the two to provide stunning new display and hosting opportunities in a dedicated store.
Partridge Jewellers also has a significant stable of top watch brands including Rolex, Cartier and Patek Philippe, and already operates a dedicated watch boutique, but the new space is a way for fans to become immersed in the world of LVMH-owned TAG Heuer.
Of course it’s not hard when the design of the store has been overseen by TAG Heuer’s in-house architectural team in Switzerland, resulting in sleek lines and high-end fixtures. Contrasting grey tones, smoked mirrors, and refined blues offer nods to TAG Heuer’s Swiss heritage as well as the brand’s iconic Monaco collection.
TAG Heuer was founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer in St-Imier, Switzerland. Over the years the watchmaker has become known for design, craftsmanship, and technological advancements as well as its ties to sports world with involvement in Formula 1 and other high-profile sporting events.
The brand’s pioneering technologies have included the oscillating pinion for mechanical stopwatches in 1887, the Mikrograph in 1916, the first automatic-winding chronograph movement – Calibre 11 – in 1969, and the first luxury smartwatch in 2015.
The new boutique is at 58 Queen Street, Auckland.
