It’s time to get in line online – today is the day of Louis Vuitton and Nike’s first digital drop of “Air Force 1” by Virgil Abloh.
Nine mid-top and low-top editions of the sneakers will be released online via this link on Tuesday 19 July at 6pm AEST/8pm NZST.
Due to the high demand for the release, participants are placed in an online waiting room, with a random and limited number of users selected every minute to view the collection and given the opportunity to pick 1 out of 9 sneakers to buy.
Those who successfully pass the waiting room will have 10 minutes to select their Louis Vuitton and Nike Air Force 1 model and place the product in their cart.
This year the Nike Air Force 1 celebrates its 40th year. On the occasion of the Louis Vitton Spring-Summer 2022 Men’s show presented in June 2021, Virgil Abloh designed 47 pairs of the Louis Vuitton and Nike “Air Force 1” by Virgil Abloh sneakers in collaboration with Nike.
The sneakers were made with materials employed in Abloh’s Louis Vuitton Men’s collections, fusing the trainer’s classic codes with the insignia and materials of Louis Vuitton, in homage to the hip-hop culture that shaped the designer.
The shoes were styled with his signature quotation marks echoing the written graphics Abloh used to adorn his work.
