Tried and Tested: L’Oreal Revitalift Laser X3

When the signs of ageing – fine lines, uneven skin tone and loss of density – start to appear, there’s no shortage of creams, serums and even cosmetic treatments that promise to stop the skin-ageing clock in its tracks. But figuring out which skincare products actually work can be tricky. With this problem in mind, L’Oréal Paris turned to scientific innovation and research to formulate new Revitalift Laser X3, a youth-restoring skincare line designed to care for skin around the clock.

Game-changing skincare

With repeated application of the Revitalift Laser X3 skincare collection, collagen is stimulated, skin is regenerated and fine lines and wrinkles are smoothed and diminished. Each product plays a vital role in ensuring you achieve the best results possible. Formulated with powerful hyaluronic acid and Pro-Xylane 3%, Revitalift X3 Laser Day Cream hydrates skin and works to repair the appearance of wrinkles while plumping the skin. The Night Mask Cream has the added addition of Centella asiatica, a plant extract known for its youth-restoring properties.

Revitalift Laser X3 Serum has been formulated with fast-acting ingredients that penetrate the skin to deliver quick results. Fragmented hyaluronic acid plumps and smoothes fine lines and wrinkles while Pro Ceramide LHA (lipohydroxy acid) works to refine skin tone and texture. The serum’s powerful active ingredients gently exfoliate away dull, dead skin cells to reveal a radiant skin tone.

A good eye cream goes a long way, and the Revitalift X3 Laser Eye Cream is no exception. Hyaluronic acid diminishes fine lines and wrinkles, while caffeine stimulates micro-circulation to minimise puffiness and dark circles that often plague the area. An innovative metal applicator cools the eye area leaving it soothed and refreshed.

What our readers say

Three MiNDFOOD readers put the L’Oréal Revitalift X3 Laser collection to the test over five weeks and their results speak for themselves. All three noticed plumper, more youthful skin and have already recommended Revitalift X3 Laser to friends and family.

Angela Mcneill, 50: “I’ve been cabin crew for Air New Zealand for over 20 years and my skin is always dehydrated so I’ve tried everything. I really like the texture of the Revitalift Laser X3 day and night creams – it’s a thicker texture than normal day creams but it absorbs so well. You only need a little bit. I noticed changes in my skin after about two weeks, and changes in pigmentation after three to four weeks. I really love the eye cream, and I love the applicator. It was easy to use. Everyone has commented that my skin is a lot plumper. It is really good for my pigmentation, and I have found a lot more even skin tone with this.”

Justine Wheatley, 46: “My initial thoughts when I received the Revitalift Laser X3 range was that it’s really quite luxurious. I love the feel of the entire range. It glides on to my skin without being too oily and greasy yet it left my skin feeling well moisturised. It smells lovely, it’s clean and light. L’OrĂ©al got it right. When I try something new I get concerned about breakouts as I often find skincare too rich. I’ve used the range religiously and haven’t had any breakouts. Since I’ve been using Revitalift Laser X3, people have commented on my skin and have asked what new foundation I’ve been using. But the only new thing I’ve used is this skincare. I will definitely continue to use it.”

Sarah Wall, 38: “My skin concerns are mostly ageing – wrinkles, fine lines and a little bit of redness. I look for anything that will help me look younger and firm my skin. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was really impressed from day one, the texture is really great. It feels nourishing and it doesn’t sit on the skin, it absorbs well. I loved the eye cream. The metal applicator felt really rejuvenating in the morning, and soothing and nurturing at night. The serum sunk into my skin and provided a really nice base. I noticed good results after about a week. My skin feels firmer and rejuvenated, enlivened. I think my fine lines have been softened and my skin is looking better. I will continue to use Revitalift Laser X3 and would definitely recommend it to my friends.”

A Lipstick for Every Occasion

If there’s one make-up must-have that we’ve always had an unwavering love affair with, lipstick has to win hands down. Afterall, nothing provides a quick beauty pick-me-up like a quick swipe of bold lip colour. Back in 2008, New Zealand’s lipstick queen, Karen Murrell, says a more subtle approach to colour. “There were a lot of blushing pinks in the market and still a lot of gloss from the 90s,” Murrell says. “But as the 2010s rolled in, true lipstick came back into vogue and we started to fall in love with real lipstick again.”

Murrell believes the resurgence in lipstick might have had something to do with the Global Financial Crisis. “If you could not afford a new dress you would buy a new lipstick instead to update your look,” she says. And as any beauty aficionado knows, while we might have a signature shade we reach for over and over, one lipstick is never enough. From out-there hues to demure, subtle colours, here are 10 of current favourite.
