Our fave local ethical fashion pioneer, Gosia Piatek, the brains behind Kowtow – you can read our full interview with her here – and her team have just launched two charity T-shirts to get behind World Refugee Day.
It’s a cause that’s close to Piatek’s heart: she came to New Zealand as a refugee with her parents from Poland. “To me, there is no other bigger topical issue than the current refugee crisis. Knowing we can provide ease to a family or add kindness to life, and without adding any more hardship is the least we can do as a human race,” she says.
Both of the T-shirts are based on the current AW 17 ‘Dreamscape’ collection. 100% of the proceeds raised from sales will go towards the Red Cross and its community refugee resettlement programs in New Zealand.
