Kiwi songstress Kimbra wins Grammy Award with Gotye
New Zealand-born songstress Kimbra has won a Grammy award with Australian singer Gotye for their chart-topping hit, 'Somebody that I used to know'.

The Hamilton native beat LMFAO’s club anthem Sexy and I Know It, Janelle Monae, and Fun., to take home the coveted award today. Meanwhile, her collaborator Wally de Backer (otherwise known as Gotye) has won the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album. Both were announced at the pre-televised ceremony in downtown Los Angeles.

Kimbra and Gotye are also up for Record of the Year for the same song. Rocking a sparkly tulle creation by Perth designer Jamie Lee and Miu Miu pumps, Kimbra remained true to her quirky, colourful style. She walked the red carpet with a very dapper, tux-donning Gotye.

Congratulations, Kimbra and Gotye!

Article Update: 11/2/13, 2:00pm Kimba and Gotye also won the Grammy for Record Of The Year for “Somebody That I Used To Know”.
