Kelly Wearstler launches online interior design tutorials

Her designs have graced the covers of Vogue, she’s become a household name in the hotel industry and The New Yorker named her “the presiding grande dame of West Coast interior design.”

Now, influential interior designer Kelly Wearstler is sharing her tips, tricks and secrets in a new online class. Hosted on Masterclass, Wearstler gives a behind-the-scenes look at her work and promises to “demystify interior design.”

From how to make a space feel larger, to choosing a colour palette, to understanding materials and textures, the course is designed to help everyday lovers of interior design create spaces with confidence.

Kelly Wearstler’s tips to make a small space feel larger

  • Modify furniture. “Try have furniture pieces up on legs,” says Wearstler.
  • Tricks with glass. Choose a coffee table with glass to create the feeling of more space.
  • Play with paint. High-gloss paint can also expand a place as it “adds reflectiveness and dimension,” she says.

You can find Wearstler’s class at Masterclass.com
