Keira Knightley has received an OBE for her services to drama and charity, in an investiture ceremony held at Buckingham Palace.

Actress Keira Knightley, 33, beamed as she was awarded an OBE (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) by Prince Charles on Thursday for her contributions in drama and her charity work. Knightley was joined by her husband, James Righton, and her parents at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the honour.

The star looked incredible as she posed for pictures, alongside her parents and husband wearing a lemon suit by Chanel, which was cinched in at the waist with a pink belt.

The face of the high-end fashion house wore a white shirt which had a black ribbon tie detail and completed her look with a matching hat. She also wore taupe shoe boots which came complete with an ankle strap.

Knightley, who was named in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list earlier this year, had a breakout role in the 2002 comedy Bend It Like Beckham, followed this up with successful appearances in Love Actually, King Arthur and the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

Knightley recently made headlines when she criticized the pressures placed on women following Kate Middleton’s ultra-polished appearances outside the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital just hours after giving birth.

Her latest film, Colette, is set to be released in January 2019, and tells the true story of ground-breaking French author Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, who spent her career fighting to regain credit for her novels after her husband passed them off as his own work.
