Ever wondered who our favourite celebrities look up to? Who are our role model’s role models? Kate Winslet has shared the six women she is inspired by.
“All of these women have taught me about determination, strength and stamina, being properly prepared to play a role, but most importantly and above all else, about looking out for one another,” she said in a recent award acceptance. “It’s through these women that I have learned about sisterhood in the working world, which today could not be more crucial. Indeed, we must depend on it,” Town & Country reports.
Below are Kate Winslet’s six female role models.
Kathy Bates: “Kathy Bates taught me about trying out a scene in a way that I really had not planned at all.”
Jodie Foster: “Jodie Foster taught me how to stick to my guns.”
Dame Judi Dench: “Judi Dench taught me how to act.”
Emma Thompson: “Emma Thompson, my friend, taught me about being well-behaved and generous.”
Julie Christie: “Julie Christie taught me how to stand correctly and how to remain poised under pressure.”
Judy Davis: “The great Judy Davis taught me how to be unafraid and reckless.”
Helen Mirren. Talking to Vanity Fair, Kate said: “You could sit and talk about anything with Helen, for hours… She is everyone’s friend. And she is out-of-control sexy and beautiful!”
