Supermodel Kate Moss is expected to follow in the footsteps of wellness ‘icon’ Gwyneth Paltrow, after hinting at the imminent launch of a new lifestyle brand and website.
The British star, best known for a decades-long modelling career, announced the arrival of ‘Cosmoss’ by sharing a video of herself on Instagram wading into a lake without a stich on, before diving in.
‘Mesmerising and magical. COSMOSS is self-care created for life’s modern journeys’, Moss captioned the post that pointed to the brand’s new website.
The website will position itself as “self-care created for life’s modern journeys,” according to the company’s Instagram account. While it is yet to be confirmed what the website and brand will involve, it is thought to involve retail of products among its offering, similar to Paltrow’s popular website Goop. Paltrow’s Goop has been said to be valued at up to $250m.
Launching on the September 1 at cosmossbykatemoss.com, it “draws on the extraordinary life experience of Kate Moss — ready to share her journey of self-acceptance and freely be herself” says another post.
‘Each COSMOSS product has been meticulously crafted with well-being in mind, using potent, natural substances. Each ritual opens a door to balance, restoration and love. The COSMOSS scent recentres and completes.’
The new undertaking further extends the scope of Moss’ career, after she was recently announced as the creative director of soft drink Diet Coke earlier this year.
In September 2016, Moss also founded Kate Moss Agency (KMA) , a modeling and talent agency that represents the likes of Rita Ora, Stella Maxwell and her own daughter Lila Moss, who is beginning to establish her own modelling career. Lila Moss appeared on the cover of British Vogue for the first time in May this year.
