Kate Middleton appeared to be in great spirits as she paid a visit to a photography workshop run by the Royal Photographic Society and Action for Children in a children’s centre in Kingston upon Thames, on Tuesday.
She attended the event in her new capacity as royal patron.

Kensington Palace tweeted: “The Duchess of Cambridge has become Patron of the Royal Photographic Society @The_RPS.
“Her Majesty The Queen has passed the Patronage of @The_RPS to The Duchess of Cambridge, having held the role for 67 years.
“The Royal Photographic Society was founded in 1853 with the objective of promoting the art and science of photography.
“The Duchess of Cambridge has a longstanding interest in photography, and her patronage of @The_RPS will further highlight the beneficial impact that art and creativity can have on emotional wellbeing, particularly for children and young people.”
Duchess Kate had previously been made an honorary lifetime member of the society, with the director Michael Pritchard praising her for her “talent and enthusiasm” behind the lens.
Among photographs that Kate has released are shots of Prince George’s first day of nursery school, photos of Princess Charlotte on her fourth birthday and Prince Louis for his first birthday.
Looking particularly lovely in a paisley-inspired print dress with shades of green and pink, Kate joined youngsters taking part in a workshop run by the prestigious organisation, which supports disadvantaged youngsters from across the UK.
