After celebrating Prince George’s sixth birthday in July, Kate Middleton can’t believe how fast her future King is growing up.

George turned six on July 22, and the Duchess of Cambridge has revealed her astonishment at how quickly children seem to grow up.

After all, young children are at the top of the Duchess’s mind right now.

She opened up about her family while visiting the Sunshine House Children and Young People’s Health and Development Centre in London on Thursday.

23-year-old mother Chloe Koroma and her four-year-old son Oliver took the opportunity to chat with the Duchess during her visit.

Koroma told People, “She said children grow up so quickly and she can’t believe that George is six already.

“It was lovely meeting the Duchess,” she said.

“She asked how old Oliver is and what football shirt he was wearing.”

The centre aims to help young and first-time mothers and their children.

Kate’s visit was aimed at furthering her research and broadening her public outreach within the field of family and early-years development.

The Royal Family celebrated George’s birthday on the private island of Mustique, a slice of Caribbean paradise that’s said to be a favourite destination of the royals.

Kate is mother to the future King George, along with Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

But she’ll have to get used to seeing her three kids grow up so quickly:

Just two weeks ago, Princess Charlotte joined George for her first day of primary school at Thomas’s Battersea in London.

Much of Kate’s public and community work focuses on early-years development, and enhancing the prospects for young children as well as their families.

Kensington Palace said the visit was intended to “further her research and engagement with the Early Years sector”.

Kate has recently completed a year-long study in the field of early-years childhood development with the help of academics and other professionals and experts.
