The Duke and Duchess were on hand to celebrate the volunteers of crisis text support service Shout, which was launched by the couple and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in May. The couple were all smiles as they arrived at the event, welcomed by staff and volunteers at the organisation.
Kate looked relaxed and casual wearing a black-and-white jacket by Smythe, a white shirt and trousers by Joseph. Prince William chose to wear a blue suit paired with a light blue shirt and a tie.
William and Kate spoke to Mr Russell about the impact social media can have on young people and asked whether he thought Instagram is doing enough. Mr Russell’s daughter Molly took her own life having viewed graphic content on Instagram and Mr Russell has said Instagram was partly responsible for her death.
Prince William and Kate received a brief update on the scale and impact of Shout, as well as meeting with volunteers, mental health campaigners, staff members, and supporters.
