Kate And William ‘Absolutely Thrilled’ At Wedding Announcement
The Duchess of Cambridge spoke about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's engagement announcement while visiting the Foundling Museum in London.

The Duchess of Cambridge opened up about her brother-in-law Prince Harry’s engagement to American actress Meghan Markle yesterday. “It’s such exciting news,” she told press.

“William and I are absolutely thrilled… It’s a really happy time for any couple and we wish them all the best.” She added that “we hope they enjoy this happy moment.”

Middleton’s comments came just hours after Markle and Prince Harry said the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had been “amazing” throughout their relationship. In their first television interview, the newly-engaged couple said Middleton was “wonderful” about everything.

The Duchess was visiting the Foundling Museum in London, where she learnt about the history of the United Kingdom’s first children’s charity and public art gallery, Foundling Hospital.

Wearing a printed dress by Kate Spade, she toured the museum before taking part in an art class with pre-school children who use the museum’s education and outreach programmes.

The Duchess has long been an advocate for youth support, particularly in areas of mental health and education.
