Joni Mitchell hospitalised
Singer Joni Mitchell, 71, in intensive care but in good spirits.

Joni Mitchell, best-known for her big hit ‘Big Yellow Taxi’ is now awake but in intensive care at a Los Angeles hospital.

The famous folk singer was admitted on March 31 after being found unconscious at her home.

The latest update from Mitchell’s official Twitter account said “Joni is currently in intensive care in an LA area hospital but is awake and in good spirits. More updates to come as we hear them”.

Mitchell was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 and has been awarded eight Grammy Awards during her career. Her best known songs also include ‘Woodstock’, ‘Help Me’ and ‘Free Man in Paris’.
