The Jetstar birthday sale includes $49 flights to Queenstown.
Jetstar has dropped a new promotion, with 25,000 flights on sale for under $50.
The airline’s “belated birthday sale” was released on Wednesday 7 June and runs only until Saturday, 11 June.
The Jetstar birthday sale is welcome news for Kiwis wanting to nab a cheap flight as they explore the country.
A one-way flight between Auckland and Queenstown is down to $49, Auckland to Christchurch for $34 and Christchurch to Wellington for just $32.
The Jetstar birthday sale follows up another promotion from the airline when it first announced a return to its New Zealand domestic travel routes.
The airline says it hopes to reach 60% of its normal domestic schedule, running 75 return flights a week to Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown.
Jetstar, which is owned by the Qantas Group, has, like many other airlines, experienced the impacts of the pandemic. In March, Qantas and Jetstar stood down 20,000 staff due to the financial impact of COVID-19.
The sale’s travel dates do not include the school holiday period, and run until March 2021.
