Jessica McCormack is best known for her inventive modern diamond creations. The eye-popping pieces by the New Zealand-born, London-based jeweller regularly feature dazzling stones and are often seen on stars such as Demi Moore, Florence Pugh, Zoe Kravitz.
In fact, Zendaya’s recently-revealed engagement ring is said to be a McCormack design.
So it’s a surprise to see the designer embrace a whole lot more colour in new collection ‘Fruit Salad.’

The designer is said to have been inspired by sunny days spent in blooming countryside orchards. The selection of earrings and necklaces necklaces are shaped to recall juicy fruit, including peaches, pears, apples, lemons and cherries, landing just in time for the northern summer season.
That colour comes thanks to a selection of precious coloured gems including emeralds, rubies and yellow sapphires, pavé-set to provide a uniform colour, paired with  polished 18K gold. Each stone is chosen and set in a way that created shading and gradient familiar with each fruit shape.

It’s the most playful approach we’ve seen from the designer yet, who capped off the collection with a real show-stopper: A one-of-a-kind pendant (above) featuring a 20.25 carat emerald, carved and polished into the perfect pear.
A selection of the colourful designs are available in New Zealand from Simon James.
