On Monday, the fashion designer confirmed that he is departing his role at the Italian luxury fashion house.
“After 10 years, I am announcing today that I will be leaving Moschino. I’ve had a blast creating designs that will live on forever,” he wrote on Instagram. “I am grateful for all the love and support I’ve received over this past decade. As I close this chapter, I am filled with excitement & anticipation and can’t wait to share with you all what I have in store for you next.”
Soon after, a number of Scott’s celebrity friends congratulated him on his long run at Moschino.
“Oh J ! bittersweet. It’s been such a joy and honor to be part of your Moschino world. Thank you for all the memories! Love u so much, can’t wait to see where u take us, next buddy,” posted Gigi Hadid, while Naomi Campbell added: “looking forward to your next chapter !!”
Scott joined Moschino in October 2013 and went on to build a reputation for crafting collections filled with whimsy and pop culture references.
The 47-year-old, who also runs his namesake label, has not yet shared details about his future plans.
In response to the news, a representative for Moschino’s parent company Aeffe, thanked Scott for his dedication to the brand.
“Scott has penned a fundamental chapter in the legacy of the brand with his fearless and show-stopping pop-camp style and incisive humour – true to the renowned codes of the House,” they commented.
