The popular ‘Friends’ actress has revealed she has created a new children’s book called Clydeo Takes a Bite Out of Life, with the main character based on her own much-loved dog Clyde.
The star’s scruffy-but-lovable pup has become a sensation since Aniston first posted a picture of him on her Instagram page back in 2021 and regularly posts him alongside her other dogs, Sophie and Lord Chesterfield. She has an account, @CallmeClydeo that regularly shares stories, images and clips of the animated canine.
Featuring illustrations by Bruno Jacob, Clydeo Takes a Bite Out of Life, will be published by HarperCollins Children’s Books on October 1.
“I could have never imagined how much joy he [Clydeo] would bring to his fans and followers,” Aniston said in a statement. “I could not be more thrilled to be taking Clydeo and his stories to publishing, where he will hopefully inspire children and dog-lovers alike with his adorable journey to find his true passion.”
That’s not all. The new illustrated book, set to be released later this year, is part of a four-book deal with HarperCollins and animation studio Invisible Universe,.
The description of the first book, already listed for pre-order on Amazon, says the fun-filled picture book is about ‘self-discovery and self-confidence starring her food-loving dog Clydeo!’
It tells of Clydeo’s search to find the thing that fulfils him, ending in the realisation he loves to cook.
According to People, the other books will include a cookbook from Aniston and Clydeo, and two “I Can Read!” books for young readers.
Besides her acting career, Aniston has also recently created a hair line, LolaVie, making the most of her famous hairstyle with shampoo, conditioner detangler and more. She also has a deal with Pvolve workouts, to promote specific workouts for the subscription-based home workout system. She is also Chief Creative Officer of collagen and wellness brand Vital Proteins.
