Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern may have unwittingly revealed the gender of her baby. Last week, Ardern and partner Clarke Gayford announced the pregnancy, telling the media that they were expecting their child in June. The couple added that they were hoping to keep the gender a secret until the child’s birth – but the information could already be public.
Speaking on More FM radio this morning, Ardern joked that she and Clarke had a running bet on “who is going to stuff it up” and let slip the baby’s birth first. The way things are looking, Clarke may have just won the bet.
At the end of the interview, Ardern was asked whether she would do a photoshoot with the child once born. “Oh well we are not doing any of that stuff now…I’m not sure,” she replied, before adding: “I’ll be hauling her around the country a bit, so it will be hard to hide.”
“Her” – did Ardern just give away her child’s gender?
