It’s here! Biologique Recherche launches in New Zealand

In this digitally-savvy world, and particularly with our increased tendency to shop online this year, rarely is a beauty product out of reach to New Zealand shoppers.

But there is one brand that, despite worldwide renown for dramatically improving the quality of skin and numerous industry accolades, has remained strictly out of reach previously.

Be it a desire to hold on to a sense of unattainable French mystique or just a more traditional careful and considered approach to getting it right, but lauded Paris-based skincare brand Biologique Recherche has long been available only via a jaunt to a spa or salon across the ditch or further afield, long shunning ecommerce avenues.

That’s set to change with the arrival of the brand’s full host of 100+ products as well as 60 and 90 minute facial treatments, now available through Auckland hotel Sofitel’s newly launched Spa facility. There are also further plans for the skincare to be stocked at separate locations around the country.

With a nearly 40 year heritage, and an approach that blends concentrated raw ingredients in complex formulas with a clinical research-based approach, the company has consistently turned out exceptional skincare, with one product in particular a star player worldwide.

Those in the know will be familiar with best-selling Lotion P50, a skin smoothing, resurfacing and rebalancing product upon which many of the liquid exfoliants we’re now familiar with have been based.

None quite come close to the particular blend Biologique Recherche is known for however, and despite a famously unsubtle aroma thanks to the inclusion of vinegar, an ingredient line up that includes proven skin reconditioning agents lactic acid, glycolic acid, niacinamide and more, yields impressive results.

Applied to skin like toner via a cotton pad after cleansing, the lotion quickly delivers on its hydrating, oil-regulating, pore minimising and brightening promises.

P50 is also the cornerstone upon which many of the brand’s in-spa treatments are based so if you’d like to try before you acquire a take home product for yourself, Sofitel Spa in Auckland’s Viaduct is accepting bookings now.
