Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni cast in film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s ‘It Ends With Us’
Author Colleen Hoover has confirmed the cast for the film adaptation of her hit novel 'It Ends with Us'.

Taking to Instagram to share the news, the author confirmed Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni will star as Lily and Ryle, whose romance devolves into domestic violence.

“I think that Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively have what it takes to bring these characters to life and I cannot wait for you guys to see that happen,” Hoover said in an Instagram video announcing the news. “I’m going to do my best to sneak y’all as much footage as I can without getting kicked off the set. I’m so excited, y’all.”

Returning to her childhood home to film the announcement, Hoover added “The little girl who used to sleep in that bedroom thanks you for all the support,”

The author has previously shared that the book was inspired by her mum, who “got us out of a scary situation” when she was young.

Christy Hall, writer of ‘I am Not Okay with This’, is adapting the script for screen, and Baldoni and Lively will join Hoover as executive producers.

Hoover is currently the highest-selling novelist in the U.S., writing five of the top 10 bestselling books of any genre last year, with over 20 million books sold. ‘It Ends With Us’ ended 2022 as the top-selling print book and has been on the New York Times’ bestseller list for over 90 weeks.
