Ed Sheeran reportedly married girlfriend Cherry Seaborn in a secret ceremony before Christmas.
The pop star, 28, and his longtime girlfriend Cherry Seaborn, 26, were married in December, The Sun has reported.
A source told the publication that the Shape Of You hitmaker tied the knot with Cherry just before Christmas, in a ceremony which saw just 40 close friends and family in attendance.
“Ed got married a few days before Christmas. It was very quiet – just Ed’s oldest school pals, limited family and the priest.
“There were only 40 people – so no Taylor Swift, record company executives or any royals or popstar pals. He wanted no fuss and he wanted it to be something entirely for them – just a tiny winter wedding.
“It’s amazing that he’s the biggest popstar in the world but he was just able to quietly slide off and wed.
“Neither of them were that fussed about making a big deal about it. Cherry just wanted to get it out of the way without any problems or intrusions,” the source said.
Sheeran first met Seaborn at school when he was 11 — but their relationship didn’t turn romantic until the summer of 2015. The singer announced his engagement to Seaborn, in January of last year with a candid Instagram snap, gushing to fans: ‘Got myself a fiancée just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx’
