Inside The Issue: STYLE Winter 2025

By MiNDFOOD

Inside The Issue: STYLE Winter 2025
Get ready for a trip around the world in STYLE. For the winter issue we take you all over the planet, providing the season's best inspiration across fashion, beauty, interiors, design and travel.

“Tired of the rain and cold already? If you’re not escaping the winter season and jetting off to warmer climes, let this edition of STYLE take you on a voyage of discovery,” says Editor-in-chief Michael McHugh. “With so many jet set locations and homes, you’ll be happy to have stayed home.”

There are enlivening discoveries to be made on every page of this issue, whether it’s the long-line and texturally luxurious coat you need to keep off the chill, or the overstuffed sofa that would be perfect for an interior update. Start by dipping into The Edit, our regular section up front that provides all the bits you need to be across, from must-try fashion trends to new restaurant openings and interior influences happening right now.

Cover star Lily Collins

In the spirit of uplifting our mood, we are thrilled to have Lily Collins in this issue. Her varied roles have encompassed classical dance, intense dramas and fairytales but we also love the way she has established a reputation for having fun with fashion too.

She shares insight around her career, the influences that have guided her, her ever-evolving style and that unforgettable (and divisive) small-screen role as the famous (and famously over-dressed), Emily in Paris.

Winter fashion and beauty inspiration

In the fashion section we head to the stunning coast of Normandy in France and to the Swiss Alps, as we rug up and showcase new-look, monochrome skiwear and the season’s trend of tartans and checks. Both locations are easy to lose yourself in while deciding how to incorporate these pieces into your winter wardrobe.

We also go behind the scenes of the Dior Fall 2025 show in Kyoto, seeing first hand how each piece was made and the talented artisans bringing fashion to life. A fascinating glimpse into a rarefied world.

Menswear is all about a strong silhouette in knitwear and stone-coloured pieces, and we also disappear to the Amalfi Coast to see some of the prettiest looks around if you have decided the cold is too much and you want to escape.

Our regular seasonal beauty edit selects all the best products and treatments to protect and enhance skin, including some brand new makeup brands on the local scene that we’re picking will have a big impact on our routines.

Tranquil and inspiring interiors

The homes in this issue just have to be pored over, imagining what it would be like to spending a while in each space.

The Paris apartment drenched in joyous warm shades featured on our design cover, offers even more unique and refreshing elements once you explore each room. It feels new and fresh and yet the design reference comes from a different decorating era.

We step inside Strandgården villa on Copenhagen’s northern coast, where two houses dating from the mid-1800s have been combined by Norm Architects and renovated in the Scandi, soft-minimalistic style they are known for. All the interior spaces are custom made with carefully selected tones to create a warm, elegant home using materials like wood, stone and plastered textures.

Another highlight is the home of Dax Roll and Joyce Urbanus from the Netherlands, who have restored a beautiful 1960s bungalow in the middle of Veluwe forest. When they moved into the original structure, they wanted to create more of a natural flow and as you will see, it is beautifully airy and open plan – with framed views appearing almost like living artworks.

Fabric and design

A special report delves into the notable trends, pieces and developments from Salone del Mobile in Milan. Our Winter Fabric Report features lots of texture, soft pared-back off-whites, neutrals and earthy tones that are ideal for gently transforming rooms into warm, welcome sanctuaries.

Explore Copenhagen

Copenhagen’s creative energy runs deep – from its stylish locals to its innovative food, art and culture scenes. In our concierge section we explore some of the best spots in the city and some of its influential people, marveling in the way they beautifully balance history with modern thinking and a love of good living.

STYLE Winter is available with two different covers, in all good book stores and supermarkets from June 9, 2025 and online at MiNDFOOD.com
