Inner Strength

Inner Strength

MiNDFOOD recently hosted a lunch with Shiseido and invited four readers to discuss beauty from within.

The readers had spent the past four weeks trialing Shiseido’s new Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate, a serum that seeks to strengthen the skin from the inside, so it’s better protected against, and able to repair damage caused by environmental and emotional stress.

Stress is said to increase skin aging, because the cells are less able to fight damage. Ultimune is based on Shiseido laboratories’ 20-plus years research into skin immunity, and the discovery that the Langerhans cells which control it can be weakened by external and internal stress.

The complex at the heart of Ultimune is said to directly enhance the function of immunity-related cells, making the skin stronger and better able to fight against damage.

Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate is an inclusive product, designed for use by all ages, ethnicities and skin types. “I think we [all] have to be happy with what we’ve got,” reader Julie Gin (62) told us.

After the four-week trial of Ultimune, all our readers said that their skin felt great. “It was like covering your skin with silk, it really sank in and wasn’t greasy at all,” said Ursula Cranmer (53), of her first impressions of the serum.

At the end of the four weeks, Leah Damm (25), told us she noticed the firmness of her skin had improved, and Jayne Quaife (47), commented that she could even go to the supermarket or on a run without make-up on and still feel good. Feeling comfortable in your own skin, what could be more positive than that?
