There are three different varieties of tamarillo: red, orange and yellow. Victorian tamarillo grower Len Raynor says “They’re all completely different in terms of flavour. The orange one has a mango flavour to it, the red one has a distinct tomato and passion fruit flavour and the yellow one, well, that’s all over the place, your guess is as good as mine.”
