Called “Louvre Couture,” the new show brings together fashion and accessories from 45 designers, including well-known fashion houses like Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Givenchy and Balenciaga.
Over a nearly 9,000-square-metre space in the famous museum’s Decorative Arts wing, 65 designs from rare pieces at on diplay. They include haute couture pieces to historical jewellery items, and are set against the Louvre’s extensive existing catalogue of paintings, furniture, and decorative objects.
During the week, the first edition of the Grand Dîner du Louvre took place, organised by the museum to mark its stunning fashion exhibition and attended by globally-recognised celebrities.
Louvre Couture runs until July 21, 2025 at the famous museum.
