This black and white photo of a cancer-stricken mother breastfeeding her new born baby boy has touched so many hearts online this week.

More than 100,000 people have shared the powerful image of the unidentified mother whose is noticeably moved.

According to reports she was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer half way through her pregnancy during which she had a single masectomy and underwent chemotherapy before the child was born.

The birth was induced at 36 weeks in order for the woman to receive more treatment.

A Florida-based photographer took the photo and said that the baby latched on to the mother’s remaining breast shortly after he was born, causing an outpouring of emotion by all those in the room.
