Michelin-starred chef Heston Blumenthal is set to open four ‘hidden’ pop-up restaurants across Melbourne’s CBD. What’s even more exciting about this news, is that diners will be offered an experience of a lifetime, at absolutely no cost.
The secret restaurants will each be open for one night only and will be run in association with the famed ‘Heston Week’ on this year’s season of MasterChef Australia.
After the success of Heston’s six-month residency in Crown Casino last year, where 15,000 foodies paid upwards of $600 to dine at the famed Fat Duck, Heston is excited to return to his adopted ‘second home’ for this exciting venture.
“Coming on MasterChef Australia over the years has always been amazing fun, but this time, out of the studio and into this great foodie city that I love, popping up with MasterChef Australia, is even more exciting,” Blumenthal said in a statement this week.
So how do you get your hands on tickets? Clues to the whereabouts of each pop-up will be released in cryptic messages for those who sign up for the experience.
The destination won’t be released until the very last minute.
Hungry diners will have to follow the MasterChef Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts and wait with bated breath for clues to emerge. Following the release of each message, people will have to explain in 25 words or less, why they deserve to attend the ‘unique dining experience’.
We suggest having your excellent answers ready to go for when the clues are released.
The eighth series of MasterChef Australia will premier in May 2016 and will feature special guest judge Nigella Lawson.
