Head along to Palliser Estate this summer for an epic culinary pop-up
Martinborough's Palliser Estate winery is collaborating with a local culinary duo for a superb summer dining experience.

While Covid may have put a halt on plans, Martinborough’s Palliser Estate has pivoted with a delightful summer foodie offering.

The summer pop-up, Nara at Palliser, sees Martinborough’s talented culinary duo Lucy Mutch and Daniel Drew bring their beloved Nara food truck to the winery’s courtyard.

The summer pop-ups will run three says a week (Friday – Sunday) from 5 November and extended to five days a week (Thursday – Monday) from 18 November.

Since opening their food truck in 2020, Mutch and Drew have garnered a strong local following for their distinct mix of cuisines that are led by the seasons.

“We are delighted to have been given the opportunity to work with Palliser’s outstanding team. Serving a bright, fresh and delicious menu that embraces the best produce that the Wairarapa has to offer, and pairing these dishes with the exceptional Palliser wines. We are looking forward to a delightful summer at the sun soaked cellar door,” say the Nara duo.

The Nara at Palliser menu will evolve with the season and guests can enjoy the local cuisine relaxing on the lawn, under shady tables in the courtyard or in the new outdoor dining area.

“We are excited to have the Nara food truck here this summer and in these times it feels right to be keeping it truly local. We have extended our outdoor dining area so even more room to sit back enjoy a beautiful glass of wine in the gorgeous park-like surrounds with a plate of fresh, tasty Nara fare,” says Pip Goodwin, Palliser Estate CEO.
