The multi-award-winning wellness retreat has been transforming lives and setting people on a healthier path since it opened its doors in 2006. Named the World’s Best Eco Spa in 2022, Gwinganna is unrivalled when it comes to delicious organic food, expert spa therapies, stylish and comfortable accommodation, a diverse and extensive array of activities, life-changing seminars and is the ideal space to rest and recharge.
Always finding ways to evolve, Gwinganna has launched two new programmes this year; The Longevity Project, dedicated to longevity and healthy ageing, and Gwinganna Healthy Escape, for those wanting quality rest time, away from distractions in a healthy environment yet still be able to have coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at dinner some nights.
For those wanting a powerful reset and recharge or to really shift their lifestyle habits, the 7-night Gwinganna Detox Retreat continues to be the most popular retreat, with guests returning time and time again when they need to find balance and improve vitality. The programme focuses on adrenal restoration, gut health and liver function and is delivered in a nurturing, educational and enjoyable way, helping you to feel empowered and rested, with a clearer understanding of your body’s needs.
Amazing cuisine has always been a shining light at Gwinganna and this will continue with the appointment of healthy cuisine chef and clinical nutritionist, Samantha Gowing this year.
The new appointment will see further development of specialised menus, with more plant-based meals and connection to ingredients that help support optimal wellness.
Gwinganna’s General Manager, Deb Munster says, “Samantha has decades of experience and her joining our team will elevate our cuisine to a new level. Her knowledge and experience within spa and wellness cuisine is unsurpassed in this region. We are thrilled she is joining us to help guests also navigate the value and importance of their food choices when they return home.”
And while your days at Gwinganna are spent enjoying the food, spa treatments, activities and wellness seminars, the nights (and afternoon rest time) are spent in restful sanctuary in one of the gorgeous accommodation options. In 2023, three new Wellness suites are now available, located high on the ridge and offering stunning views of the valley and coastline.
The new suites include a deck with an outdoor bath along with a private infrared sauna and massage recovery chair. Munster says, “The Wellness Suites bring a new level of restoration to a stay at Gwinganna.”
