Gucci revisits equestrian heritage in renewed fine jewellery collection
The iconic horsebit hardware is one of Gucci's signatures. A new release marks 20 years of a collection that elevates its use in fine jewellery.

Beautifully integrated into a new selection of fine necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings, the 20 year celebration collection has been created to acknowledge the importance of the Horsebit fine jewellery collection.

Founder Guccio Gucci was often inspired by the world of horses and equestrianism and these links remain embedded in the house’s DNA.

The Horsebit design was first sketched in a Gucci artisan’s notebook at the end of the 1940s. The motif swiftly became a hallmark of elegance in the 1950s, adorning handbags, belts, small leather goods, and Gucci’s iconic Horsebit loafer – still a best-seller today – in 1953.

During the 1970s, the Horsebit was first seen on bracelets and watches, leading to the launch of its own fine jewellery line in 2004.

The new collection includes pieces in yellow gold or in rose gold with diamonds. The yellow gold range includes three necklaces, three bracelets, a ring, and two earring sets.

Necklaces come with a standout, ultra-chic Horsebit pendant or in a fine, dangling, lariat style, while bracelets encompass a supple double-chain design, a cuff bracelet, and a variant adorned with interlinked Horsebit elements.

A ring, small stud and hoop earrings complete the selection.
