It’s been one heck of a year for Charlotte Casiraghi. The eldest daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco got engaged in March, revealing the news by wearing a diamond ring on her left hand as she and her fiance, film producer Dimitri Rassam, attended the 64th annual Bal de la Rose in Monte Carlo. She’s now revealed that she and Dimitri are expecting.
The couple’s baby will be the seventh grandchild for Princess Caroline, and the second grandchild for Dimitri’s mother, glamorous French actress and former Bond girl (For Your Eyes Only) Carole Bouquet.
It was speculated that Dimitri and Charlotte might marry soon, but with the baby on the way, their nuptials might be delayed until next year.
Only after the pair marries will their baby be added to the line of succession to the throne.
